1. Scope of these Terms
These Terms apply to visitors, account holders and customers purchasing electronics, appliances, accessories and related products from Civima Store. Separate policies displayed on the website, including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Returns & Refund Policy, Warranty Policy and Payment Information, form part of these Terms where relevant.
2. Eligibility and customer information
- You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You must provide accurate billing, delivery and contact information.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account.
- You must not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes.
3. Product information and availability
We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Images are illustrative and colours, packaging or minor specifications may vary because of display settings, manufacturer updates or supply changes. Availability is not guaranteed until an order is accepted. Please check compatibility, dimensions, voltage, plugs, network bands, regional restrictions and other technical requirements before ordering.
4. Prices, taxes and payment
- Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include applicable taxes where stated.
- Delivery charges and any other payable fees are shown before you confirm the order.
- Payment must be made using an available checkout method. Payment authorisation does not by itself mean that we have accepted the order.
- If a price or product description is clearly incorrect, we may contact you for instructions or cancel and refund the affected order.
5. How the contract is formed
Submitting an order is an offer to buy the selected products. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we received the order; it does not necessarily confirm acceptance. A binding contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation or otherwise expressly confirm acceptance. We may refuse or cancel an order because of unavailable stock, payment failure, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions, legal requirements or an obvious listing error.
6. Delivery
Available delivery methods, charges and estimated timeframes are shown at checkout. Unless a different period is agreed, we aim to deliver without undue delay and within the period required by applicable consumer law. Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees where delays arise outside our reasonable control.
- Please provide a complete and secure delivery address.
- Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or a person you nominate, subject to applicable law.
- If a parcel is delayed, missing or visibly damaged, contact us promptly with your order number and supporting information.
7. Consumer cancellation rights
Where the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, a consumer may normally cancel an online order without giving a reason from the date the contract is formed until 14 days after the day the goods are received. To exercise this right, send a clear cancellation request to [email protected] before the cancellation period expires.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods within 14 days. Unless we state otherwise or the goods are faulty, you are responsible for the direct cost of return. You should handle the goods only as much as reasonably necessary to inspect them; a deduction may be made where handling reduces their value.
8. Exceptions to cancellation
The right to cancel may not apply to products that are personalised or made to specification, sealed software or media after unsealing, sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons after unsealing, rapidly deteriorating goods, or other categories excluded by law. This does not remove rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
9. Returns and refunds
Return requests should include the order number, product details and reason for return. Where a valid cancellation applies, we will refund eligible payments, including the basic outbound delivery charge where required by law, within the applicable legal timeframe. We may wait until the goods are returned or you provide evidence that they were sent back. Refunds are normally made to the original payment method.
Our Returns & Refund Policy provides practical instructions and any additional voluntary return arrangements.
10. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Depending on the circumstances and timing, legal remedies may include rejection, repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund. Contact us promptly if you believe a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.
11. Manufacturer and store warranties
A product may include a manufacturer warranty or an additional store warranty. Any such warranty is subject to its stated duration, scope and exclusions and is separate from statutory rights. Warranty support may require proof of purchase, serial numbers, photographs, diagnostic information or return of the product for assessment. Damage caused by misuse, unauthorised repair, accident, liquid, modification, improper installation or normal wear may be excluded where permitted by law.
12. Promotions, discount codes and bundles
Promotions are subject to availability, stated dates and any product or customer restrictions. Unless expressly stated, discount codes cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively. If a promotional order is partly returned, the refund may be recalculated to reflect the promotion fairly.
13. Website access and acceptable use
- We may update, suspend or withdraw website features for maintenance, security or operational reasons.
- You must not introduce malware, scrape the website in a harmful manner, bypass security, interfere with checkout or attempt unauthorised access.
- You may use website content for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes only unless we give written permission.
14. Intellectual property
The website design, text, graphics, photographs, logos, software and other content are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by intellectual property laws. Product names and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. No ownership rights are transferred to you by use of the website.
15. Reviews and customer content
Reviews and other submissions must be honest, relevant and lawful. They must not contain unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, misleading or infringing material. We may moderate, reject or remove content where reasonably necessary. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display and use it in connection with the store, subject to applicable privacy law.
16. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to the preceding paragraph, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or business losses incurred by a customer purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes. Any limitation is applied only to the extent permitted by law.
17. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption, severe weather, network outages, industrial action, customs delays, public emergencies or supplier failure. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and keep affected customers informed where practical.
18. Privacy and electronic communications
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Order and service communications may be sent electronically to the email address or telephone number provided during checkout.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, services or business practices. The version published when an order is accepted will normally govern that order. The current version and last-updated date are displayed on this page.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and court rights in the part of the United Kingdom or other jurisdiction where you live. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern directly.
